Gaskill Elementary is proud to share that our school has been officially recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community at Work by Solution Tree!
To earn this recognition, schools must demonstrate a strict commitment to PLC concepts for at least three years and present clear evidence of improved student performance. As a Model PLC school, Gaskill’s educators work collaboratively to continuously improve teaching practices and tailor learning to meet the needs of every student.
This national recognition is a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of our staff, students, and school community. Gaskill Elementary is now featured among model schools on allthingsplc.info, where our practices can serve as a resource for other educators nationwide.
Congratulations to the entire Gaskill family on achieving this significant milestone on our learning journey!

On Friday, September 4, Gaskill Elementary School celebrated Gudy Gaskill Day with the grand opening of its brand-new Nature Nook, an innovative outdoor learning space designed to step away from screens and connect students directly with the natural world. Students honored one of Colorado’s most iconic historical figures during the state’s 150th anniversary year.
Known as the "Mother of the Colorado Trail," Gudy Gaskill dedicated her life to bringing people together through nature. This year, Gaskill Elementary is centering student learning around her core pillars: outdoorsmanship, creativity, and volunteerism.
The new Nature Nook serves as a dedicated outdoor sanctuary focused on supporting students' social-emotional health and broadening their educational experiences. Designed to encourage hands-on discovery, the space allows students to put away digital devices and use tactile, real-world tools to enhance their daily learning.
